Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919 to commemorate the end of World War I. The day became an annual observance in 1926 and Nov. 11 became a national holiday in 1938. Armistice Day was changed to Veterans Day on June 1, 1954 to recognize all veterans and not just those who served in World War I. Veterans Day (Nov. 11) is now intended to thank living veterans for their service,   whether they served during wartime or not. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

Ranch Events has had the honor of being chosen for the sixth year in a row as the catering company of choice for the annual CPO (Chief Petty Officer) Pride Day.  This year the event was held at the Silver State Beach on Coronado Island.  After a two-year absence due to COVID, this group was excited to return to San Diego to honor and celebrate this military group.  This celebration was an all-day affair beginning at 9 am in the morning and ending at 3 p.m. To kick off the morning festivities, multiple coffee stations and beverage stations were set-up throughout the venue so everyone could get their morning beverage of choice. The food was cooked on-site and was served from double sided buffet lines. The mouth-watering menu included barbecued beef brisket, barbecued chicken leg quarters, Kalua pork, Mashed potatoes, Corn cobettes, Wild rice pilaf, Mac & Cheese, Green bean almandine and a multiple salad choices.   Since 2014 the City of Santee has employed Ranch Events to cater their yearly Holiday employee Events.  These Holiday parties were so successful, they called on Ranch again to provide food for a special event called “Brews and Bites.  The Special Events Supervisor, who books the cities events, sent Ramon Salido, his Ranch Events Consultant, this following email: “Hi Ramon, Thanks so much to you and your team for your service at Brews & Bites last weekend.   The first part of September, Carla and Christian Fuentes hired Ranch Events to cater their daughter’s 15 th  Birthday party for 150+ guests.  The Event was held in Marina Village in the Sunset Room.  A personal “Thank You” was sent by the Fuentes’ to Ranch Events and Ramon Salido, the Event Consultant.  This is what the family wrote: “I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help while planning Ariannas XV.
