Event Planning San Diego - 2023 CPO (Chief Petty Officer) Pride Day Celebration
Ranch Events had the honor of being chosen for
the 8th year in a row as the catering company of choice for the annual CPO
(Chief Petty Officer) Pride Day. The event was held at the Silver State
Beach on Coronado Island. This celebration was an all-day affair
beginning at 9 am in the morning and ending at 3 p.m.
To
kick off the morning festivities, multiple coffee stations with coffee cake
plus beverage stations were set up throughout the venue so everyone could get
their morning beverage of choice.
The food was cooked on-site and was served from
double sided buffet lines. The mouth-watering menu included barbecued short
ribs, carne asada, teriyaki chicken, Kentucky green beans, cilantro lime rice
pilaf, Mac & Cheese, and multiple salad choices. To satisfy everyone’s
sweet tooth, there were two dessert stations that offered peach cobbler,
churros, and brownies.
San Diego s premier Chief Petty Officer’s
Pride Day celebrates the soon-to-be-promoted Chief Selectees. More than
2700 Navy Chief and Chief Selectees attend this one-day event to network and
receive leadership lessons. The Event not only serves to promote
mentorship and community support, but also to the heritage and tradition of the
Navy Chief. The objective of this Event is to provide a momentous
occasion for Chief Selectees and Chief Petty Officers to network, be reunited
with shipmates past and display to the San Diego community the camaraderie of
the United States Navy Chief Petty Officer.
The
CPO Pride Day annual event began with a few hundred chief petty officers and
chief petty officer selections in 2003. It was so successful and meaningful to
the participants; the celebration became an annual event.
The
vision for the Navy Chiefs is coming together in a concerted effort to
strengthen their camaraderie, exemplify to Selectees the power of the CPO MESS
and give back to their community.
